The Making of No Need For Alarm with Del the Funky Homosapien
To celebrate No Need For Alarm‘s 20th anniversary, which is today was yesterday, I got on the phone with Del earlier this week to discuss the making of the album. It was a true honor and privilege to speak with him in detail about every song on the LP, and revisit the time period when it was put together. There are some entertaining stories in here for sure, including one about the time he took shrooms with Q-Tip at the Beastie Boys’ studio in New York. I hope the NahRight readers from my generation enjoy revisiting this Hieroglyphics classic, and the younger readers who may not be familiar with the album take the opportunity to listen along while Del tells the story of its creation.
